Conflict of Interest
A conflict of interest is a situation where competing interests or loyalties could potentially inappropriately influence a decision or activity at Pickleball Pro Zones and/or cause detriment to Pickleball Pro Zones or its audience. To avoid this scenario, Our employees:
- Must manage personal finances and professional engagements by Pickleball Pro Zones Code of Conduct and internal Employee Policies.
- Are not allowed to take part in the creation of advertorial content.
- Are prohibited from accepting paid trips or gifts (other than nominal souvenirs) that might influence their reporting. An exception is made for trips that are too costly for Us to cover otherwise and are reviewed. The fact that the trip was paid for shall be disclosed on the same page as the reportage.
- May accept travel costs and/or speaking fees for events such as conferences, provided it does not pose a conflict of interest. If they write about the event, this fact shall be disclosed on the same page as the reportage.
Distinguishing Pickleball Pro Zones Content
The content curated by Pickleball Pro Zones falls into two broad categories: news-oriented (news reportage) and views-oriented (editorials or “Op-Eds”). These categories are independent of each other to serve the reader, providing access to both factual records in news reports and perspectives in editorials. This separation maintains honesty, depth, analysis, and commentary. Pickleball Pro Zones may use hashtags or labels to distinguish between news and views.
Content Containing Obscenities and Profanities
